Child & Family Mental Health Services
The Parent-Child Center, Inc. is a community-based non-profit organization that has been offering services and support to children and families in Palm Beach County since 1979. Parent-Child Center is one of the partner organizations of the Community Partners, which also includes Housing Partnership, Inc.
Our mission is to partner with communities in passionately promoting the social and emotional well-being of children and families.
We believe that it is a fundamental right for all children to have the basic support that ensures healthy physical and social-emotional development. The best place to raise a healthy child is a healthy family, so we support the child within the context of the family, and the family within the context of the community.
Our professionals partner with families to find solutions. We approach difficult issues in a positive way by focusing on the strengths of the child or family and by building on them. Our experienced staff have helped many families to take charge of their lives and help resolve even the most distressing situations.
In response to unmet needs within our community, the Parent-Child Center has made an impact by focusing on quality in our core programs and responsively addressing the needs of children and families within our community. Our programs are based on research and best practices in the area of mental health.
Major areas of focus in programming include:
Our programs have helped fill critical service gaps in the community, creatively utilizing limited resources to do everything necessary to provide services that help children and families succeed. Examples of our programs include:
Our primary goal is to transform lives through programs that fit each child's and family's circumstances.
