Introducing the Riviera Beach Homebuyers’ Club

The Riviera Beach Homebuyers' Club is a six-month experience designed for residents who are ready to begin the pathway to homeownership. This free program is sponsored by the Riviera Beach Community Development Corporation (RBCDC) and newly managed by Community Partners.

We’re very pleased to partner with RBCDC to offer this exciting club. Since 2012, this dedicated nonprofit has been operating within the redevelopment area of Riviera Beach to acquire, rehabilitate and operate affordable housing units and provide for safe, sanitary and decent affordable housing for families of modest means and/or the elderly. The RBCDC also provides investment capital to low income individuals and communities and engages in other activities for neighborhood improvement and community and economic development by providing sustainable business and job opportunities for low income residents.

The Riviera Beach Homebuyers’ Club was established to assist local residents who desire extra guidance on how to set specific financial goals that lead to homeownership. In addition to providing practical instruction in ways to practice better money habits, we help residents set up personal savings goals. We also empower individuals to become involved in their Riviera Beach community by joining a network and experiencing the feeling of being an active team member. Throughout the month of February, we're still accepting members for our current club session that began on January 10 and concludes in June. Anyone who is interested may register on-site at our next meeting. After February, interested residents will need to wait until the next session, which will begin in July 2019.

The club meets every second Thursday of the month, except for our next meeting on Wednesday, February 13so we can accommodate for Valentine’s Day, which falls on a Thursday this year. Club meetings are from 6-8 p.m. at the Ambassador Service Center, located at 1229 E. Blue Heron Blvd in Riviera Beach, FL 33404.

As a reminder, advisors from our Community Partners Housing Services department are always available to assist first-time homebuyers throughout South Florida to make wise decisions and gain financial confidence.

  • Initial, free consultation visit to explore your possibilities
  • Individualized housing counseling sessions
  • Year-round homebuyer education classes
  • Matched-savings for first-time homebuyers 
  • Assistance with closing costs and/or down payments 
  • Access to residential mortgages
  • Individualized counseling to improve and maintain good credit scores
  • Financial coaching to resolve credit issues and develop/manage a budget 
  • Monthly educational classes to make good decisions (English, Creole and Spanish) 
  • Educational and career assistance for success and economic independence 
  • Year-round free tax prep for qualified clients
