Support CP Students with a Special August 11th Back-to-School Backpack Drive

On Sunday, August 11, 2019, Community Partners of South Florida (CP) is inviting the community to a free, family-friendly, one-day backpack and school supply drive at our main office in Riviera Beach. This fun event from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. will help give our K-12 students a confident, prepared, (and very stylish!) start to a successful and exciting new school year.

With 2019 School District of Palm Beach County classes set to start the following morning, the event will also feature complimentary hair styling for the kids. Additionally, the first 50 parent, grandparent and caregiver attendees will have the chance to receive a free credit report.

“We know many families struggle to get the supplies their children need to excel in school,” says CP’s CEO Scott Hansel. “This school year, we want them to have one less thing to worry about. Our goal is to collect enough donations to provide backpacks to 250 of our students.”

The drawstring backpacks filled with school supplies will be provided to low-income elementary, middle, and high school students involved in CP programming. Each $100 donation can fill 10 backpacks with supplies including notebooks, glue sticks, binders, crayons, paper, pens, pencils, hand sanitizer, erasers, and folders. Cash, check, or online gifts can be made at cp-cto.org/donate.

The one-day backpack drive will take place at 2001 Blue Heron Blvd W., Riviera Beach, FL. 33404. For additional information, visit us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and our Eventbrite page http://bit.ly/CPBackToSchoolBash or call (561) 841-3500.
