MENTORS MAKE AN IMPACT THAT LASTS A LIFETIME

Mentor Andrew and Mentee Abraham build snap circuit kits
Highland Elementary School Mentor, Andrew, and Mentee, Abraham, spend their time together building snap circuit kits which allow the safe exploration of electricity and encourage an interest in STEM education.

Mentoring is one of the many ways volunteers make a big difference at CPSFL. We coordinate four mentoring programs across Palm Beach County and serve students in Lake Worth, Belle Glade, and Pahokee.

Mentees on the Move is a special initiative within the program that partners with the United Way of Palm Beach County, Children’s Services Council of PBC, Palm Beach County Youth Services, Cox Science Center and Aquarium to offer students a chance to learn more about the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics - STEM!

Florida Power & Light Company, Aerojet Rocketdyne, and Frisbie Group provide additional support to make the program successful. Thank you!

By focusing on STEM, our mentees are learning skills that are essential for meeting current and future U.S. job demands. CPSFL mentors are helping to feed the STEM career pipeline and keep students on track for success. We are always looking for positive, passionate role models who can foster interest in these fields.

STEM professionals are positively influencing our community and inspiring the next generation! Interested in learning more? Send us an email here or complete an application today: Mentor Application
